Pizza recipe

  • Pizza base
  • 12oz Manx Queen flour or Manx pizza flour
  • (can be replaced with our sun-dried tomato flour as an alternative)
  • 1 sachet of instant yeast
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 200ml warm water
  • good splash of olive oil


Mix everything together and leave to rise for an hour or 2. (or make it in the morning, roll it out and let it rise IN THE FRIDGE) Will make 2 big thin pizzas Toppings Tomato (can be doubled and trebled in proportion and frozen) Heat up some oil in a pan and add the following to it 3 x 14oz tins of tomatoes Pinch of chilli flakes Salt and pepper 1 garlic clove Cook until the water is evaporated and then liquidize and add a dessertspoon of sugar. Use what you want and freeze the rest in portions. Spread some of the sauce over the base and top with anything you like Back at 220C until the topping is cooked (5-10 mins) Onion topping 1. Caramelise some onions and garlic with sugar and rosemary 2. When preparing the pizza either spread a thin layer of Gentlemans relish over the base or bash up some anchovies and spread on the base. 3. Then cover with the onion mix add extra anchovies and olives (no cheese) Bake at 220C until the topping is cooked (5-10 mins)
